spelling corrected. and this time I really was just trying to answer some posts that I missed from being at work yesterday.
ok. I'm gonna have to change my avatar back just so chaser can concentrate, methinks. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

More pics:
I finished one thigh joint, using some Lego Technic parts... nice tight swivel, was quite happy with the result. Also you can see the balljoints on the hips now (bionicle scraps). They need some sanding, etc. still... I fused them in place with some scrap plastic and a soldering iron to keep it nice and secure (not to mention it gave me quite the headache - literally. Those fumes are deadly... must - get - mask).
The biggest accomplishment this weekend was the neck - I got a balljoint from a gundam figure, and fused and epoxyed it in place. Then I used some green stuff to even out the sculpt... and made a hole for the LED wires to feed through. They are quite thin, so they should be hidden totally once in place. The recepticle for the ball joint will go up in the head once I get it sanded, primed and have the LED permanently affixed.
Still waiting on some parts to come in from Japan to do the arms... thats my biggest hurdle now - still trying to figure out the best way for that. The parts from Japan are from the WAVE Option system for Gundam model enhancemet... there should be some good joints I can use to accomplish my arm dilemna.

Got those wave option parts from Japan - figured out how to do the arm joints!
Finally made more progress - hope to be done in the next few weeks! (I will be covering the joint with wires, etc, so you won't see it when the arm is straightened)
